There are actually 2 ways to say ‘or’ in Vietnamese and which one to use all depends on which type of sentence you say.
How to say Or in Vietnamese
Now you’re like “why so hard?!?”. I think that’s the fun part of learning Vietnamese. When I learned English, I had to deal with all kinds of word forms, whether to add an -s or -es and when it’s -ed or something else completely different. With learning Vietnamese, you don’t have to deal with all these stuff. Instead of changing the words (which is really confusing), we add words – for example đã, đang, sẽ for past, present and future tenses. Pretty easy I think?
The 2 versions
Sometimes we have words that prefer to be written in 2 versions instead of one (what can we do?!?). In this video, Lan talks about one of those words – “or”. I’m not gonna spoil the secrets, so here you go:
