KEY FEATURES OF THE ROLE:

• Design lesson plans based on TVO coursebooks and curriculum

• Teach Vietnamese to foreign students at TVO in 1:1 classes or group classes, face to face or online

• Creating teaching content and materials when needed

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Candidates living in or near Vinhomes Ocean Park Hanoi specifically who can take on classes the following areas: Ocean Park, Ecopark, and Long Bien area.
• Candidates living in Da Nang specifically who can take on classes the following areas: My An, An Thuong, Hai Chau.
• Responsible, energetic and friendly people who are passionate about the Vietnamese language and culture.

• Clear Vietnamese pronunciation, excellent English skills.

• Experience in teaching Vietnamese as a second language (or experience in teaching languages) is a plus.

• Able to make long-term commitment.

   Topic A: How to distinguish between the hỏi (?) and ngã (~) tones.
   Topic B: How to pronounce ư vs u.

   Please speak directly and naturally to the camera. Do not read from a script or teleprompter. We evaluate engagement, body language, facial expressions, and natural delivery—applications where the candidate is reading from a script will not be processed.

Tieng Viet Oi – Vietnamese Lessons (TVO) is a Vietnamese teaching group based in Hanoi but also operating in Ho Chi Minh city and Da Nang city.

Founded in 2013, we are a team of more than 80 dynamic teachers and staff with more than 11 years of experience in helping foreigners get closer to Vietnamese culture by learning the language.

TVO members are chosen for their teaching ability, teaching experience, personality and passion for spreading Vietnamese language & culture.

At TVO, we believe that a good teacher is not simply someone who has a lot of certificates and experience, but is someone who can understand, connect and get on well with her students. Teaching skills is something we can train and provide, but not attitude, humour, and kindness.

NOTES:

• Our main office is located at No 19A lane 8, Võng Thị, Tây Hồ, Hanoi. Classes in other locations will be conducted at the student’s office, the student’s home, or a café mutually agreed upon by the student and teacher.
• The specific hourly rate will be discussed at a later stage with candidates who pass the CV round.
